DEACON ZARION ASHTON WOODEN

 Zarion was born, raised, and educated in the state of California. He earned a Certification in Management/Supervision Studies at Sierra College of Business and also attended Antioch University- Bridge Program- Studies: Liberal Arts/Humanities.

In 1984  Zarion walked through of Unity Fellowship Church (UFCC), Los Angeles. That was the first time he ever heard ‘Homosexual and God in the same sentence in refence of love. That moment changed Zarion’s life. He struggled all his young adult  life trying to fit in and face being a survivor of incest, and trying to understand his sexually identity. Zarion found comfort and peace and UFCC he finally found a home. He was born of female body, but knew in his mind, heart, and spirit he was male. Through UFCC he embraced his identity, now he boldly announcing that he is a “Transman”, created and loved by God. He started his physical transition August 24, 2013.

In 2015 Zarion started preparing for something larger than himself, he started his spiritual journey through training he received various certification including becoming a Domestic Violence Advocate. On October 8, 2017, Zarion became Deacon Zarion Ashton Wooden. He took his contract with God seriously. He knew his trans brothers and sister needed a safe space where they could come for support. Zarion (Co-Created, Divine Transition – focusing on the transgender community having bi-weekly support groups), and (Divine Gents- focusing on the transmasculine spectrum), Trans Siblings Ministry- Co-Creator- UF Las Vegas).  Zarion has created (Common Ground Diversity- focusing on the Transmasculine Spectrum- Elgin, Texas).  Zarion worked in and with the Transgender over twenty years, including an active history of community engagement by providing support as both Program Coordinator (Transgender Department) and Peer Health Educator with Minority AIDS Project (MAP)- Los Angeles. While at MAP Zarion earned various certifications. 

Zarion is the (Co-Founder/Co-Creator/Co-Owner/Board Member) of Alpha Omega Nu, Inc. TransMan Fraternity), (Co-Founder/Co-Creator/Owner/Board Member) of Alpha Omega Nu, Inc. Brotherhood Fraternity- Santa Monica, California. Where he serves as (Co-President/ Pledge Master/ Active Member- since 2010). He has engaged in various event planning for Trans- Individuals including for Transgender Day of Remembrance and Transgender Day of Visibility. Active participant in various statewide panels, predominantly, those related to Trans-Individuals.  

 Zarion teaches through affirmation healing which helps you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. Zarion stands boldly with the Movement Motto: God Is Love And Love Is For Everyone,”  including those with a "Transgender Experience”, according to- Genesis 1:27.
